French women team won the Ladies Cup 2011!
This was one of the strongest tournaments in the history of women paintball with three national women teams participating!
The game was exciting and very good, although you should never compare it to the men's version, even though it is the same basic game, with 5 players against 5 and 10 referees. All 3 teams showed there aren't any weak teams any more, which is why we'll start with more teams at the next Women's Cup. Now is the right time to go from 3 to 8 teams, and that'll open new markets for women's paintball.

Women’s paintball in Europe is still in a state of consolidation, and is not yet moving into a competitive phase. What we’ve lacked in Europe up to now is support from the national federations. Only a very few federations have a women’s team. The situation will only improve once women are playing in clubs. They need to be rooted in the clubs, because clubs form the foundation of paintball.
We'd like to express our thanks for the exceptionally good organisation of this tournament. Our thanks are not only to EPBF officials in charge of organisation Ladies Cup, but also to the National Federations involved. We'd also like to thank the Millennium Series for the great support and making their playing fields available to us. The fields were magnificent, all of them absolutely meeting the required international standards.
It was a nice beginning of the season, and we will do our best to make next women`s tournament more successful!
